East Tennessee State reaches deal to play at Georgia in 2020

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) - East Tennessee State has added one more Southeastern Conference opponent to its future schedules by reaching an agreement to play Georgia in 2020.

ETSU officials said in a university release that the school would receive $550,000 for making the trip to Georgia.

This marks the third SEC school ETSU has scheduled since relaunching its football program. The Buccaneers are scheduled to play at Tennessee in 2018 and at Vanderbilt in 2019 and 2021.

ETSU started playing again last season and went 2-9 after shutting down its program for financial reasons in 2003. After playing in 2015 as a Football Championship Subdivision independent, ETSU joins the Southern Conference this season.
