Orioles put McFarland on DL in series of roster moves

SEATTLE (AP) - The Baltimore Orioles placed left-hander T.J. McFarland on the disabled list Thursday in a series of roster moves.

McFarland has a left knee injury. He is 2-2 with a 5.63 ERA in 15 appearances this season.

Baltimore also called up right-hander Chaz Roe and catcher Caleb Joseph from Triple-A Norfolk. Joseph had been on a rehab assignment at Norfolk, dealing with a testicular issue.

Catcher Francisco Pena and righty Oliver Drake were optioned back to Norfolk to make room.

Righty Vance Worley was activated off the DL (right groin strain) to replace McFarland.
