Kane County
• A 26-foot orange scissor lift valued at $12,000 was reported stolen at 11:20 a.m. Thursday from the 15N300 block of Route 25 near East Dundee.
• A mailbox on the 38W200 block of Hendricksen Road near St. Charles was destroyed by a vehicle between 10 a.m. and 11 p.m. Saturday.
• Melissa L. Anthony, 26, of the 500 block of South Sumner Avenue, Aurora, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while license suspended, failure to reduce speed and improper lane use at 2:34 a.m. Sunday, according to a sheriff's report. Anthony is accused of driving her car across a lawn on the 500 block of South Sumner and striking another parked vehicle, the report said.
• Two gas-powered generators, with an estimated value of $1,498, were stolen from a truck parked on the 33W800 block of Cherry Lane near Geneva between 6 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
• Leah Y. Popper, 20, of the 2600 block of Fargo Boulevard, Geneva, was charged with DUI, transportation of open alcohol and improper lane use after a traffic stop at 11:22 p.m. June 15 near Prairie Street and Price Road near Aurora, according to a sheriff report.
• A resident of the 42W400 block of Plank Road near Hampshire reported a residential burglary of $450 at 3:39 p.m. Saturday. The resident said a man came to the door claiming to work for Kane County and wanted to come inside the home to talk about future road work along the resident's street. The resident talked to the man outside for about 20 minutes and returned to find an office chair inside the home out of place and $450 missing from a desk.
