Harper outdoor concert to feature Ken Spurr Jazz Quartet

Enjoy standard and contemporary jazz selections by favorites such as Duke Ellington, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker and more at Harper College's 45th annual Summer Jazz Concert.

The free performance will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, at the college's new Outdoor Pavilion, north of Building D on Harper's main campus, 1200 W. Algonquin Road, in Palatine. Parking lots 8 to 11 are recommended.

The annual concert features the Ken Spurr Jazz Quartet, led by well-known jazz pianist (and director of Harper's jazz studies) Ken Spurr.

Patrons are invited to bring their lawn chairs, blankets and picnic baskets. Dessert and beverages will be provided while supplies last. No alcohol is permitted.

In case of rain, the event will be moved to Building A.
