Fire damages Arlington Heights house

No one was hurt in an early morning house fire Monday in Arlington Heights.

The blaze was discovered about 6:45 a.m. at a two-story house on the 1300 block of South Evergreen Avenue. It started in the garage and spread to the attic, firefighters said.

Firefighters from Rolling Meadows, Mount Prospect and Elk Grove Village assisted the Arlington Heights Fire Department on the scene. They had the fire under control in about 15 minutes.

The cause of the fire was under investigation Monday, but it may have been electrical, authorities said.

Damage was estimated at $100,000.
