Schaumburg neighbors can connect on Nextdoor websites

The village of Schaumburg has announced its partnership with Nextdoor, a private social network for neighborhoods, to improve villagewide and neighbor-to-neighbor communications.

Nextdoor assists neighbors in creating online communities for their neighborhoods where they can ask questions, get to know one another and exchange local advice and recommendations.

The village also has the ability to post information, such as important news, services, programs, public events and emergency notifications to Nextdoor websites within the village.

More than 24 neighborhoods already have active Nextdoor websites in use, with more than 1,000 verified Schaumburg Nextdoor users.

Nextdoor is available on iPhone and Android. Anyone interested in joining their neighborhood's Nextdoor website can visit nextdoor.com and enter their address to get started.

Residents with questions about their Nextdoor website, can visit help.nextdoor.com.
