Fox Lake Venetian Night

Fox Lake's 9th annual Venetian Night is Saturday, Aug. 6, on Pistakee Lake. This year's theme is "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere On The Chain." Attendees are invited to dress up in their best tropical wear as they enjoy the Venetian-style boat parade, from 7:30 p.m. to midnight. It runs from Famous Freddie's Roadhouse, 510 S. Park Ave., to Dockers Restaurant & Lounge, 33 W. Grand Ave. Highlights include DJ entertainment, dancing in the street, and food and beverages from vendors. A fireworks finale begins at dusk. Fox Lake Parks and Recreation will offer free shuttle service from Millennium Park, Lakefront Park, village hall, community center, and Metra parking lots in 15-minute intervals, from 6 to 10 p.m. Parking at these locations is free.
