Antioch internet exchange zone

The Antioch Police Department has made its front parking lot a convenient place for residents to complete internet exchanges, such as those typically made via Craigslist. Instead of having a stranger come to your house, or going to meet a stranger in a vacant parking lot, residents can use the police department's parking lot, 433 Orchard St., to complete the exchanges in a public, well-lit area. Anyone who wants to use the parking lot does not need prior approval from the department. Any issues that arise out of any transaction, short of a criminal act, will be considered a civil matter between the parties, and will not be investigated by the police department. The village of Antioch assumes no liability for matters arising from transactions conducted on village property.
