Music, carnival and more kick off Wauconda Fest

Music, a carnival, food and more kicked off Wauconda Fest Thursday night in Cook Park. Festival goers enjoyed ride specials, a wine and cheese tasting and musical entertainment by a jazz trio, DJ and 7th Heaven.

Events included a performance by 7th Heaven and a jazz trio, a wine-and-cheese tasting and ride specials. The annual fest continues through Sunday.

Other events on tap include bingo, a kickball tournament, water fights, bags tournament, car show and a 5K/10K run. Other bands taking the stage this weekend include Stereo Heart, Infinity, American English, 97 Nine, Sones De Mexico and Bella Cain.
