Leonard Nimoy remembered

In honor of actor Leonard Nimoy's death in 2015, College of Lake County sociology professors John and Maria Jose Tenuto will give a free presentation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, at the Vernon Area Public Library, 300 Olde Half Day Road in Lincolnshire. Using rare images and videos, the Tenutos have been given permission to show documents from their research. Participants will learn about Nimoy's early years in Boston and his acting and directing career, including his many television and film roles and the effect of his iconic Star Trek role as Spock. The event is free but registration is requested by visiting events at http://www.vapld.info, by calling (224) 543-1485, or in person at any public service desk in the library.
