AMS Mechanical Systems building new facility in Woodridge

WOODRIDGE - Conor Commercial Real Estate, a member of Rosemont-based McShane Companies, said a 145,200 square foot build-to-suit facility is being built in Woodridge on behalf of AMS Mechanical Systems Inc.

The new facility represents the latest development at the highly-successful Union Pointe industrial business park at the northeast quadrant of I-355 and I-55.

AMS is a full-service mechanical contracting firm serving the chemical, food, process, manufacturing and power industries for over 50 years. The company will relocate from their current Burr Ridge location into the new facility in Woodridge upon its slated delivery in late December 2016.

Currently under construction on a 10.6-acre parcel, the new build-to-suit will feature a 31,000 square foot, two-story corporate office component with an elegant atrium lobby, open and private offices, conference rooms and an employee break room. The remainder of the building will be outfitted to support the firm's warehouse and manufacturing requirements with a 32-foot clear height, five dock doors, seven drive-in doors and an ESFR sprinkler system.

The precast concrete facility will boast a contemporary exterior design with storefront windows and an attractive steel canopy at the main entrance. It will also accommodate parking for 14 trailers and 148 vehicles.

"We are thrilled to welcome AMS to Union Pointe," said Brian Quigley, Executive Vice President of Conor Commercial Real Estate. "AMS considered several locations for their new facility but decided on Union Pointe due to its outstanding highway access, prominent visibility and the pro-business environment within the Village of Woodridge - all of which have been drivers of the park's tremendous success."

AMS joins corporate neighbors Edward Don & Co., a global distributor of food service equipment and supplies; Orbus Exhibit & Display Group, a manufacturer and supplier of portable modular and custom modular, exhibit and display, products, graphics and solutions; and Kellogg Co., all currently located at Union Pointe.
