Cruise Night returns to Wauconda

Classic cars lined downtown Wauconda Tuesday night during the third annual Cruise Night.

"We never in a million years, never in our wildest dreams thought it would take off like it has," said Wauconda Cruise Night committee member Jason Laureys.

About 500 classic cars, muscle cars, hot rods, motorcycles and trucks filled Main Street and other adjacent streets in the downtown area.

"We're fans of the hobby and we just want people to come out and bring their collector vehicles," Laureys said.

Wauconda will host additional cruise nights on the third Tuesday of the month - July 19, August 16 and September 20.
