Libertarian hopeful only viable solution
The abundance of "none-of-the-above" voters this presidential election season is unprecedented. The presumptive candidates for both major parties have over-the-top negatives.
There is some talk of an independent running but that would seem to be a dead-end issue since getting on the ballots for the November election is a problem at this late date.
The good news is that the U.S. Constitution has a workaround that might fit the situation. Let the House of Representatives decide. The 12th Amendment, has a provision for selecting a president from the top 3 candidates receiving electoral votes.
For a non-Trump/non-Clinton person to be the next president, another party such as the Libertarian candidate, Gary Johnson, would have to receive just enough electoral votes to prevent the two major candidates from achieving a majority. Then the House would have a choice of three and could choose Johnson.
The Libertarian party is growing fast in anticipation of this scenario. It is time for the none-of-the-above voters to come up to speed on Gary Johnson and the Libertarian party, as this is the only viable solution for them.
