Surgical Care Affiliates partners with Naperville Surgical Centre

DEERFIELD - Surgical Care Affiliates has partnered with Naperville Surgical Centre, a joint venture owned by Advocate Health Care and DuPage Medical Group.

Advocate and SCA entered a joint venture to acquire and develop a surgery center network in early 2015. Naperville Surgical Centre is a patient focused outpatient surgery center in DuPage County that provides a full suite of outpatient surgical services, including orthopedics, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, urology, gynecology, and podiatry. It is jointly owned by SCA, Advocate, and DMG.

"We are excited to partner with the physicians of Naperville Surgical Centre and to collaborate with Advocate and DMG to serve the community's outpatient surgical needs," said David Spaccarelli, vice president of operations for SCA in Illinois. "This partnership expands SCA's position in the Chicago market as a leading provider of high-quality, low-cost surgeries."

DMG leadership reiterated its support for the collaboration, as it underscores the core mission of the physician group, in both the Naperville area and across the greater Chicago suburbs.

"Our organization is proud to join this partnership," said DMG Chief Operating Officer Dennis Fine. "This initiative will allow patients increased access options for surgery outside of the hospital, with an additional benefit of helping reduce outpatient-procedure costs," he continued. "This strengthens our stated commitment to provide patients the best-quality care possible."

Advocate's Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer Scott Powder said he is very pleased about the benefits this new partnership will bring to consumers.

"This partnership is another way Advocate continues to deliver on its commitment to increase access to high quality, affordable care for the patients and communities we serve," said Powder. "We believe this collaboration will allow for enhanced care coordination to more effectively meet the needs of consumers."
