St. Charles Noon Kiwanis taking grant applications

St. Charles Noon Kiwanis Foundation Charities is now accepting applications for funding for organizations serving children.

They will only fund specific programs and not general administrative expenses. The program also must benefit youth in the St. Charles ZIP codes of 60174 and 60175 and/or from within the boundaries of St. Charles Unit District 303. And the organization must operate without discrimination of any kind.

The St. Charles Noon Kiwanis Club, founded in 1964, has become an integral part of the St. Charles community ever since. Over the years, Kiwanis Foundation Charities has helped many organizations in the Fox River Valley through donations of manpower and money.

"Young Children: Priority One" is an ongoing service program of Kiwanis. The mission of Kiwanis International is to serve the children of the world one community, one child at a time. St. Charles Noon Kiwanis Foundation Charities distributes most of their fundraising dollars to local nonprofit organizations servicing the needs of children in the St. Charles area, as well as various other public service oriented community projects.

All requests for consideration must be received by St. Charles Noon Kiwanis Charities on the application form. For an application form, contact Mike Linkimer at sclinks@comcast.net. The deadline for applications is Aug. 5.
