Buffalo Grove Fire Department hosts blood drive July 1
The Buffalo Grove Fire Department, in conjunction with the Lake County Fire Departments Everyday Hero Program, will host a blood drive from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday July 1, at fire department headquarters, 1051 Highland Grove Drive in Buffalo Grove.
Lake County fire departments have come together to help LifeSource meet blood donation needs during the summer season, when collections are typically down. LifeSource relies on the generosity of over 500,000 donors each year to meet the local patient needs. A donation will not only help save up to three lives, but also provide scholarship opportunities to local firefighters seeking higher education.
