Father's Day Classic Car Show at Oakbrook Center

You might not be able to afford to buy Dad his dream car this Father's Day, but you can treat him to the next best thing - the 48th annual Father's Day Classic Car Show.

Oakbrook Center will showcase more than 100 antique, classic, vintage and specialty automobiles on display throughout the center's newly designed spaces from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 19, at 22nd Street and Route 83, Oak Brook. Admission is free.

Presented by the Greater Illinois Region of the Classic Car Club of America, in partnership with Oakbrook Center, the Father's Day Classic Car Show is one of the largest open-air shows of its kind in the Midwest.

The show features rare and one-of-a-kind vehicles dating back to the early 1900s and draws more than 75,000 visitors from all over the world.

"Each year the Father's Day Classic Car Show gets bigger and better," said Suzanne Cook-Beres, property management associate for Oakbrook Center. "This year, we expect a great turnout of car enthusiasts, friends and family at Oakbrook Center to appreciate and celebrate these iconic automobiles."

Highlights of this year's show include a 1903 Ford Rear Entrance Coupe; 1926 Lincoln Model Locke Roadster; 1927 American LaFrance Triple Combination Fire Engine; 1934 Packard 1108 Victoria; 1967 Shelby GT-350; and 1994 Lamborghini Diablo.

Once again, show visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite vehicles in the Wheels of Choice contest and be entered to win a Father's Day prize package from retailers at Oakbrook Center. The vehicle that receives the most votes will be presented with a commemorative plaque.
