Capannari Ice Cream announces lineup of 2016 events
Capannari Ice Cream is excited to announce their lineup of events for the 2016 season.
The kick-off event will be a Concert in the Park featuring Groundspeed on Sunday, June 12 from 6-8 p.m. Concerts are held in Moehling Park, adjacent to Capannari Ice Cream located at 10 S. Pine Street, Mount Prospect.
Our inaugural Mooovie Under the Stars of the season will be on Wednesday, June 15 at 8 p.m. on the Village Green at Mount Prospect Village Hall, 50 S. Emerson Street, Mount Prospect and will feature the movie "Minions". Named by the Chicago Tribune as one of the "Top 50 Things to Do with Kids this Summer," it's a great night out for the whole family.
Another highlight of this summer's events is our 15th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, June 26 from 6-8 p.m. Held in conjunction with that evening's Concert in the Park with Zydeco Voodoo, the celebration will feature face painting, crafts and more fun!
One of our favorite traditions is the I-Pledge promotion, held on Mondays in July from 4-6 p.m. Kids 12 and under can come in and recite the Pledge of Allegiance for a free kiddie cone.
Attention musicians - we are trying out a new tradition this year - Acoustic Tuesdays. Starting June 21, musicians are invited to bring your instruments and play alone or with a group. Just another way to enjoy the summer at Capannari's! See schedule for additional dates.

• Wednesday, Aug. 17: Mooovie Under the Stars, "Mary Poppins," 8-10 p.m.
• Sunday, Aug. 21: Concert in the Park featuring Optical Distortion, 6-8 p.m.
