A: From 1836 to today, Schneider Electric has transformed itself into the global specialist in energy management and automation. Starting from its roots in the iron and steel industry, heavy machinery and ship building, it moved into electricity and automation management. After 180 years of history, this transformation has resulted in a rich portfolio - from the simplest of switches to complex operational systems - of technology, software and services that improve the way our customers manage and automate their operations.

Today, Schneider Electric is a technology company. We bring together Energy, Automation and Software & Analytics - to make the demand for energy more efficient and more connected. This is the basis of our innovation in energy management and automation. Our connected technologies reshape industries, transform cities and redefine the way we live our lives.
