Surgical Care Affiliates to partner with Florida surgery center

DEERFIELD- Surgical Care Affiliates Inc. has been selected by the physician members of Grove Place Surgery Center in Vero Beach, Florida to become a partner.

The partnership operates an ambulatory surgery center that represents an important access point for surgical services for the Vero Beach community. As of March 31, SCA operates 194 surgical facilities across the country, including 16 ASCs in partnerships with more than 190 physicians in Florida.

"We are excited that the physician-owners of Grove Place chose to partner with SCA and look forward to working with them to continue providing excellent health care to the residents of Vero Beach. Our partnership reinforces Grove Place's position as a local leader in providing a high-quality, lower cost alternative for outpatient procedures," said Rena Courtay, who leads SCA's Florida operations.

Grove Place Surgery Center is a physician-led, outpatient surgery center that offers its community an alternative to hospital-based surgery. The center is licensed by the state of Florida and accredited by a national organization that sets safety and quality standards for ambulatory surgery centers. The center serves patients requiring surgical procedures in the areas of general surgery, orthopedics, otorhinolaryngology, pain management and podiatry.
