Arlington Hts. man accused of drug possession

An Arlington Heights man has been charged with using an electronic device while driving and felony possession of marijuana, police say.

Palatine police stopped a vehicle Saturday evening on the 900 block of east Palatine Road and found a brown paper bag with more than 140 grams of cannabis, police said in a statement.

Marko Subotin, 22, was charged with unlawful electronic communication while driving and one count of felony unlawful possession of cannabis.

Subotin appeared in a Rolling Meadows courtroom Monday, and a judge issued a $10,000 bond. He's expected in court again June 27.
