Info session on Harper's Fast Track program for adults June 9

Fast Track at Harper College is an accelerated, part-time program designed specifically for busy adults looking to succeed in today's competitive employment market by continuing their education.

Prospective students can learn more at an information session from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at the Harper Professional Center, Room 122 (enter through Suite 9 South), 650 E. Higgins Road in Schaumburg.

Preselected and prescheduled classes run from five to 16 weeks in length and allow students to do more work independently. Classes are held at the same time each week, providing students with consistency.

Programs offered include an Associate in Applied Science in Business Administration and certificates in health information technology medical coding, human resource management, paralegal studies and supply chain management. The next classes begin in August or September. Fast Track is held in a cohort format in which a group of students attend all courses together. Limited class size allows for personalized interactions with instructors and classmates. The majority of classes are held at an accelerated pace, and prior credit earned at Harper or other institutions will be considered for each program.

Prospective students may qualify for financial aid or scholarships. Harper's Business EdVantage program also allows people who work in Harper's district to take credit courses at in-district tuition rates, which is a fraction of the cost of four-year universities.
