Buy T-shirts to help wildlife center's coyote

Now through Tuesday, June 7, get one or more of the Fox Valley Wildlife Center's new T-shirts and help the center fund a new diet and enrichment plan for Yodi, its resident coyote.

Yodi is imprinted on humans, which means he associates with people instead of other coyotes. Since Yodi cannot return to the wild, center staff are bringing the wild to him.

He has been switched to a healthy, homemade, raw-based diet consisting of several different proteins, fruits, veggies and supplements. The center also is working on enclosure improvements to allow Yodi to hunt, dig, and forage for his food.

These changes will not only make Yodi happier and healthier, they'll also help the center formulate improved dietary and enrichment guidelines for the rehab animals in its care.
