Report: Son kills Northbrook parents, then self, in Las Vegas

The son of a Northbrook couple killed his parents in their Las Vegas home before turning the gun on himself and taking his own life, the Chicago Tribune is reporting.

Art Wulf, 69, and Jan Morgan-Wulf, 66, were found dead Wednesday at their Talon Pointe neighborhood home with multiple gunshot and stab wounds, Las Vegas Police told the Chicago Tribune.

Their 36-year-old son Aaron Wulf was also found dead in the home of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the Tribune is reporting.

A family member called police at 10:49 a.m. to ask for a well-being check on the home, the Tribune reported. Police arrived at 11:23 a.m. and found the three bodies, authorities said.

Police said the attack was premeditated, indicated by the fact that Aaron Wulf had sent out printed and emailed copies of a manifesto to police, media outlets and others, blaming his parents for his then-imminent death.

Authorities said police received the manifesto after the deaths, the Tribune is reporting.

Art Wulf is a semiretired attorney who served on the District 225 School Board from 1995 to 1999, the Tribune reports. Jan Morgan-Wulf was a former Chicago Public Schools speech pathologist who also had a long career as a Coldwell Banker Real Estate agent in Northbrook, the Tribune reports.
