Medline executive receives honors

MUNDELEIN - Dave Jacobs, president, post-acute care at Medline, has received the National Association of Health Care Assistants Generous Spirit Award for his continued support of the association's mission to help elevate the professional standing and performance of certified nursing assistants who care for the frail and elderly.

The award was created in tribute to NAHCA co-founder, Lori Porter's mother whose generous spirit gave the association its start. Jacobs recently received the award in front of nearly 500 CNAs from around the nation at NAHCA's annual Key to Quality banquet in Des Moines, Iowa.

"Every five years we honor a NAHCA supporter who is beyond generous, whose spirit helps to keep the NAHCA mission advancing throughout long term care. Dave is that supporter," said NAHCA co-founder and CEO, Lori Porter. "His ongoing support on behalf of Medline is what allows us to put on these amazing conferences for our members. He understands the value of CNAs and their importance to the marketplace Medline serves and is committed to ensuring they receive the recognition they so richly deserve."

"CNAs play a vital role in the health and well-being of long-term care residents. That's why we're committed to developing innovative programs and education to help support skin health and awareness, leadership development and patient care," said Jacobs.
