Schaumburg Township District 54 seeks new board member

The Schaumburg Township Elementary District 54 board of education is seeking applicants interested in filling the vacancy created by the resignation of board member Karen Strykowski.

The new member will serve until the after the next election on April 4, 2017.

Interested residents must submit an application and resume by 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 8. Submissions can be made by email to sherrymadej@sd54.org, U.S. mail, fax or hand delivery to Sherry Madej, secretary to the board.

Applications can be obtained at sd54.org or picked up at the Rafferty Administration Center, 524 E. Schaumburg Road in Schaumburg.

The board intends to interview all candidates during the week of June 20 and appoint the new member on July 14, but this is subject to change.
