District 57 music scholarship fundraiser Sunday in Prospect Heights

Mount Prospect Elementary School District 57 is holding its sixth annual Music Scholarship Benefit Concert from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 5, at House of Music & Entertainment, 1227 N. Rand Road in Prospect Heights.

Proceeds provide scholarships for District 57 students and families who need assistance with band, orchestra and choral program fees, instrument rental, private lessons and other costs of participating in the school music programs.

The Music Ensemble Scholarship Fund has helped provide more than $13,000 in student scholarships over the past five years. This year's benefit will feature the Lincoln Middle School Celebration Singers, Jazz Band and Jazz Ensemble, as well as by District 57 student and alumni musicians.
