Aurora man expected to survive Sunday shooting

A 39-year-old Aurora man is expected to survive injuries he sustained during a weekend shooting in Aurora.

Police said the man was shot several times as he stood inside his home on the 400 block of North Ave., about 1 a.m., Sunday.

Two suspects, described only as men dressed in all-dark clothing, stood outside and fired multiple shots from two guns into the home.

Police are working on several theories as to a motive in the attack. The victim was treated at an Aurora hospital before being flown to another unnamed suburban hospital for additional care.
