Thompson Square, Big Head Todd coming to Eyes to the Skies

Country music duo Thompson Square and alt-rockers Big Head Todd & the Monsters will be the musical headliners at Lisle's 34th annual Eyes to the Skies festival that runs July 1 through 3.

The fest, best known for its hot-air balloon shows, will be open from noon to 11 p.m. all three days at Community Park, 1825 Short St.

In addition to the balloons and two stages of music, the fest also features food, a craft fair, a kids' activity and entertainment area, and three nights of fireworks. There's also five days of carnival rides that will start Wednesday, June 29, and continue through Sunday, July 3.

Thompson Square, featuring Nashville-based husband and wife Keifer and Shawna Thompson, will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 2, on the fest's Vankampen stage. Big Head Todd & the Monsters, led by founder Todd Park Mohr, will perform at 8 p.m. Sunday, July 3, on the Vankampen stage.

Nearly 20 acts are set to perform on the fest's music stages.

The fest is presented by the Lisle Eyes to the Skies Festival Committee with proceeds benefiting six local charities and business organizations.
