Longmadow vote not result of wording

With all due respect to Chairman Lauzen and anyone else making the ridiculous claim that the reason the Longmeadow referendum turned out the way it did, 8,000 against the project vs 3,000 for the project, was because of faulty wording, should realize that the wording could cut either way.

A few people might have voted "yes" thinking they were voting to support the project, but a few might have voted "no" thinking they were opposing the project. That would pretty much make that a wash.

But Chairman Lauzen should give some credit to the voters in Dundee Township and realize that they knew exactly what they were voting for, they want this ridiculous project stopped immediately before it costs the taxpayers of Kane County even more.

And this vote took place in only one township in the county. If the other townships realized that county tax dollars are being spent to build a bridge that is just a few miles from McHenry County, which as far as I know is contributing nothing directly for this project, and that Kane County taxpayers will probably have to cover the bond issue that they may need to complete this project, I am thinking that similar results might be seen throughout the entire county.
