Man United sensation Rashford scores on England debut

SUNDERLAND, England (AP) - He scored on his Manchester United debut, on his Premier League debut and in his first Manchester derby.

Now, Marcus Rashford has scored on his debut for England. After barely two minutes, too.

Rashford, the 18-year-old sensation, volleyed in England's opening goal with his fourth touch of the game in a friendly against Australia on Friday to become the youngest player to score on debut for England. Rashford is 18 years and 208 days, and broke the record set by 19-year-old Tommy Lawton in 1938.

Rashford is looking to stake a claim for a place in England's squad for the upcoming European Championship. He was only starting because Daniel Sturridge is injured.

Rashford made his debut for United in February.
