Carmel Catholic High School honors class of 2016

The members of Carmel Catholic High School's Class of 2016 collected their diplomas in a ceremony Friday night at the Mundelein school.

Nearly 340 students donned brown caps and gowns and white stoles for the event, held in the school's Patrick A. Salvi Arena.

Valedictorian Matthew Colbert and salutatorian Thomas Trzupek were among the scheduled speakers. Religious studies teacher Phil Donner was chosen by the seniors to deliver the commencement address.
