Three cars stolen using spare key fobs in vehicle
Three vehicles were stolen in Palatine and Inverness in the past several days by thieves who found spare keys in the glove compartments, authorities said.
The Palatine police say the thefts could have been avoided if the owners had locked their cars and not left spare key fobs in the vehicle.
Anyone with information regarding the thefts are asked to call Palatine police at (847) 359-9000.
