Dundee Lions provide donation to sponsor youth to attend burn camp

The Dundee Township Lions Club presented Philip Zaleski, executive director of the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance, with a $500 donation.

Lion Jim Schuldt was instrumental in bringing Zaleski to the meeting to explain how their organization meets the needs of burn survivors. The money donated will pay for a camper to attend the burn camp. This camp provides a wholesome environment for a youth to enjoy activities and support from other individuals who have gone through similar experiences.

The Lions are proud to support this camp as one of their charities. The Illinois Fire Safety Alliance in addition provides programs for those who have been adversely effected by burn injuries throughout the year. They help support both children and adults in their recovery.

The Dundee Lions meet regularly at the Village Squire, 125 Washington St. in West Dundee. Find more about Dundee Township Lions Club on Facebook.
