Softball semifinals resume Thursday

Lightning and storms postponed or suspended all softball games featuring area teams in regional semifinals on Wednesday.

Most will be starting from scratch on Thursday with the exception of Hersey and Palatine, who each will return to the diamond owning the lead.

at Warren: Palatine leads Grayslake Central 4-0 in the second inning when the game resumes at 4 p.m. Thursday.

at Mundelein: Hersey is leading Glenbrook North 1-0 while batting in the bottom of the third inning. The game resumes at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

at Bartlett: Rolling Meadows and host Bartlett never got underway and will start the game at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

at Hoffman Estates: The game between Schaumburg and Wheaton North never started and was rescheduled for 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

• In Class 3A, St. Viator's playoff opener in its own regional against Northside (Chicago) was rescheduled for 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
