Renewal Center to host open house

The Renewal Center sixth anniversary open house will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at McHenry County Mental Health Board, 620 Dakota St., Crystal Lake.

Heidi Kramer, registered dietitian and cancer survivor, loves talking about, writing about and preparing fresh food. "Tastefully Inspired: A Fresh Approach to Wellness" provides a blend of sound nutrition information and culinary delights designed to inspire healthy survivorship. Bring a friend as Kramer shares stories, humor and ultimately the discovery of the tools she herself relies on for living well. Kramer will speak at 6:30 p.m.

The quilt raffle winner will be announced and a silent auction is planned. Light refreshments will be served.
