NEW YORK (AP) - Bradley Wright-Phillips and Dax McCarty each scored twice and the New York Red Bulls routed New York City FC 7-0 on Saturday to tie the MLS record for largest margin of victory.
McCarty put away a header into the top-right corner, off a corner from Sacha Kjelstan, in the third minute, and Wright-Phillips added two goals - the second coming on a bicycle kick in stoppage time - as the Red Bulls (4-7-1) took a 3-0 lead into halftime.
Wright-Phillps, who was scoreless in his first seven matches this season, has five goals in his last six.
McCarty made it 4-0 in the 51st minute and substitutes Alex Muyl, Gonzalo Veron and Gideon Baah added goals.
It was the first career goal for Muyl, a 20-yearl old rookie and Manhattan native.
The Red Bulls improved to 4-0 against NYCFC (4-4-5), which had its five-game unbeaten streak snapped.
RAPIDS 1, SOUNDERS 0
SEATTLE (AP) - Axel Sjoberg headed in a corner kick late in the first half in Colorado's victory over Seattle.
Marc Burch floated the kick from the left wing side toward the near post. Sjoberg, positioned just outside the 6-yard box, went up and hit the ball with the right side of his head. It bounced once and flew into the right side of the net in the 43rd minute for his first goal of the season.
West-leading Colorado (8-2-3) extended its unbeaten streak to eight games (6-0-2). The Rapids have not lost since a 1-0 decision at Real Salt Lake on April 9.
Goalkeeper Zac MacMeth picked up his fifth shutout. He got some help in the 72nd minute when Seattle's Zach Scott got his head on a corner kick, only to see Burch kick it off the goal line at the left post.
The Sounders (4-6-1) lost their second in a row.
FC DALLAS 4, REVOLUTION 2
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) - Fabian Castillo scored the go-ahead goal in the 70th minute and Tesho Akindele had two goals to help FC Dallas beat New England.
Castillo pounced on Revs defender Sambinha's muffed clearance attempt 25 yards from the goal and slotted the finish past goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth for a 3-2 lead.
Akindele capped the scoring with a strike from the top of the area in the 90th minute.
FC Dallas (8-4-2) took lead on Akindele's penalty kick in the fifth minute. Michael Barrios drew the penalty on a collision with Shuttleworth and left the game on a stretcher a few minutes after the foul.
Juan Agudelo tied it at 1 in the 23rd minute and the Revolution (2-4-7) took a 2-1 lead on Lee Nguyen's penalty kick in the 26th. Atiba Harris headed home Acosta's corner to tie it in the 36th.
REAL SALT LAKE 3, SPORTING KC 1
KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) - Juan Manuel Martinez opened the scoring in the 32nd minute and Real Salt Lake took advantage of Sporting Kansas City's defensive miscues.
Martinez finished from close range at the end of a four-pass combination that started with defender Matt Besler's giveaway to Joao Plata deep in Real Salt Lake (5-7-2) territory.
Real Salt Lake (6-3-2) went ahead 2-0 in the second minute of first-half stoppage time when Yura Movsisyan's hard pass deflected off Sporting's Brad Davis into the back of the net for an own goal.
Dom Dwyer slotted home Jimmy Medranda's diagonal cross in the 50th minute to cut the deficit to 2-1. It was Dwyer's sixth goal of the season and Medranda's first career MLS assist. RSL retook the momentum 3 minutes later with Kyle Beckerman's takeaway and low hard feed to Movsisyan for a breakaway and chip-shot finish.
ORLANDO CITY 2, IMPACT 1
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Cyle Larin scored twice, Ricardo Kaka had two assists and Orlando City beat Montreal to snap a six-game winless streak.
Larin poked a left-footer into lower-left corner to put Orlando City (3-3-5) ahead for the first time in 87th minute. Kaka, slashing into the box, dropped a chest-pass near the penalty spot to Julio Baptista. He flipped a high pass back to Kaka for the cross to Larin, who finished from inside the 6-yard box.
Ignacio Piatti took a feed from Lucas Ontivero, cut back toward the center of the box and buried a right footer into the lower-left corner to give Montreal a 1-0 lead in the opening minutes. Larin flicked a header, off the cross from Kaka on a free kick, into the net to make it 1-1 in the 43rd.
Montreal (4-4-4) is winless in its last six matches.
FIRE 1, DYNAMO 0
BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (AP) - Arturo Alvarez scored his first MLS goal since 2010 and Chicago held on to beat Houston.
Alvarez poked a feed from Gilberto Souza Jr. - that slipped between a pair of defenders - past goalkeeper Tyler Deric in the third minute.
The last-place Fire (2-5-4) had lost three in a row and were winless in their last six matches.
Deric had a season-high six saves for the Dynamo (3-7-2). Chicago's Sean Johnson, making just his second start this season, finished with three saves.
CREW 0, TORONTO FC 0, TIE
TORONTO (AP) - Toronto FC goalkeeper Clint Irwin had his fifth shutout of the season in the draw with Columbus.
Toronto dropped to 4-4-4 with its second straight tie. The Crew (2-4-5) are winless in their last four games.
Steve Clark had his third clean sheet of the season for Columbus.
Sebastian Giovinco had Toronto's best opportunity to break the scoreless draw in the 68th minute, but he uncharacteristically shot it wide in a 1-on-1 situation with Clark.
