Warren Township High School holds graduation

Northwestern University's Welsh-Ryan Arena in Evanston had plenty of energy Saturday morning for Warren Township High School's 99th graduating class.

There were 1,025 candidates in the Class of 2016 from the Gurnee-based school, which has used Welsh-Ryan in order to accommodate as many commencement attendees as possible.

Warren District 121 Superintendent John Ahlgrim presented the Class of 2016. Warren school board members had the pleasure of handing diplomas to the teenagers.

Haley Brock and Megan Cote were selected to give honored student presentations to their fellow graduates.
