Roselle club selling tickets for Pond & Garden Walk

The Roselle Park District Garden Club is selling tickets for its first Pond & Garden Walk.

The event will be held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 16, and feature seven backyard ponds and gardens throughout the village.

Proceeds will benefit Steppingstones, an organization providing emotional support, financial assistance, a safe environment and career opportunities to a woman and her children who are victims of domestic violence. For more information, see www.steppingstonesroselle.org.

Advance tickets for the Pond & Garden Walk are being sold at the front desk of the Roselle Park District Clauss Recreation Center, 555 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., or on the website at rparks.org. Tickets are $15, with free admission for children younger than 12.

Tickets purchased the day of the event are $20 and payable by cash or check only. Checks should be made payable to Roselle Park District. All proceeds go to Steppingstones.

Walk participants will be able to visit the ponds and gardens at their own pace and enjoy light refreshments at each stop. Meanwhile, they can gather some inspiring ideas for their own landscape while contributing to a worthy cause.
