See film 'Where to Invade Next' May 27 in Geneva

Michael Moore's latest film, "Where to Invade Next," will be shown free to the public at 7 p.m. Friday, May 27, at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Geneva, 110 S. Second St. in downtown Geneva.

The award-winning movie confronts the most pressing issues facing America today - the gender pay gap, obesity in young people, massive student loan debt, and others - and finds solutions in unlikely places. Unlike anything Moore has done before, the film uses humor to examine how other countries have successfully dealt with important social problems.

Sophia McLennon of Salon said, "Instead of pointing out our flaws, he imagines our possibilities. And instead of wallowing in fear and panic, he offers practical ideas for productive change."

The film is part of the free monthly third-Friday Film programs which are sponsored by the Social Justice Team of the Unitarian Universalist Society of Geneva.

The public is encouraged to register at www.uusg.org/friday-flicks/ to receive email notices of future programs.
