Nebraska transfer joins Colorado State football team

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Former Colorado prep star Paul Thurston is transferring from Nebraska to Colorado State and will be eligible to play his final season this fall.

The center and 2012 graduate of Arvada West High School, Thurston played in 23 games for the Huskers, mostly on special teams. He also played significant snaps on offense in Nebraska's win over UCLA in the 2015 Foster Farms Bowl and in a 2014 win at Iowa in which the Huskers overcame a 17-point deficit for their biggest road comeback in school history.

Thurston didn't play in 2013 and redshirted in 2012. Coming out of high school, he was a four-star recruit.
