Free CPR class Saturday in Des Plaines
Des Plaines officials say there is still room in the free CPR class being offered to residents from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, at fire station #61, 405 S. River Road.
Those interested may call the fire department at (847) 391-5345 during business hours to register. There is a $20 registration fee to hold a spot, but it will be refunded at the class.
Instructors will go over the basics of CPR and use of automated external defibrillators. Separate CPR classes for certification purposes for health care professionals are also offered by the fire department for $50. For more information, visit desplaines.org/CPR.
