Lakemoor seeks historical items
Lakemoor is looking for historical items to display in the foyer of the new village hall along Route 120 scheduled to be complete later this year or early 2017. Anything related to Lakemoor, such as newspapers, photos, old farm equipment, signs, bottles, posters - especially from 1900 to 1940 - are sought. Anyone with items to donate can stop by the village hall, on the north side of Route 120 at Darrell Road. There also is a move to form a historical society to meet periodically, reach out to others that may have items to donate and conduct searches. Cash donations would be used for metal detectors, picks, shovels, rare earth magnets, etc. Call John Guenther, (815) 385-1117.
