Baseball: Davila's bat, arm power Warren past Mundelein

Ryan Davila hit a home run and drove in 3 runs to help Warren shut out Mundelein 5-0 Monday in North Suburban Lake baseball action.

Davila was also the winning pitcher. He went the distance and rolled up 6 strikeouts.

Stevenson 7, Lake Zurich 3: Christian Dutler had 2 hits to lead Stevenson, which had a 5-run fourth inning and finished with 11 total hits.

For Lake Zurich, both Nick Sanders and Tyler Snep had home runs.

Justin Stark was the winning pitcher for Stevenson. He had 7 strikeouts.

Woodstock North 13, Grayslake Central 3: Ryan Ford drove in 2 runs for Grayslake Central, which had 5 errors.

Libertyville 10, Lake Forest 6: Libertyville jumped out to a 4-0 lead after one inning.

Brian Murphy led the Wildcats with 3 hits while Dan Marks added 2 doubles and 2 RBI and Jack Peterson had 2 RBI.

Sophomore Riley Gowens of Libertyville is now 7-0 on the mound. The Wildcats are 19-9-1 on the season.

Wauconda 9, Antioch 0: Jake Grobelny had 4 hits and drove in a run for Wauconda.

Winning pitcher Korey Soetaert had 9 strikeouts and gave up just 1 walk over seven innings.

For Antioch, Alex Unekis had a double.

Vernon Hills 15, Round Lake 2: Bradley Fisher had 2 hits and drove in 3 runs for Vernon Hills, which also got 2 hits and an RBI out of Tommy Earhart.

Earhart was also the winning pitcher.

Lakes 7, Johnsburg 5: Tom Jones had 2 hits and drove in 3 runs for Lakes while Max Swiatek had 2 hits and Tim Ohlwein drove in 3 runs.

Winning pitcher Brandon Khan gave up just 1 walk in four innings.

Lakes improves to 13-14.
