A smile and a wave brighten her day

I would like to point out a crossing guard for Nathan Hale School who can cause a SMILE on anyone who passes by him.

After this man safely gets our children across the street, he spends his "down time" waving and smiling to all who drive by him. A lot of people might not notice, but I have for a couple years.

I have been thinking of writing this letter for quite a while, but of course, like other simple things in life, it got overlooked.

However, in the past couple weeks, he has come up in conversations with family and friends. They have also seen him, and he, of course, put a SMILE on their faces. So I'm finally writing.

I don't know who this man is, but I'm asking that you let this man know that his waves and smiles in the morning and afternoon bring HAPPINESS to people who might be dreading the day ahead or people who have had a terrible day.

Thank you for reading my long overdue letter. SMILE at someone. It might just make their day!
