Advocate Health Care to Begin Operating Walgreens Clinic in Downers Grove

"Advocate Clinic at Walgreens" to expand access to high-quality, affordable health care options in convenient neighborhood settings

WHAT:

Community leaders, health care officials, patients and providers will gather in Downers Grove to mark the opening of Advocate Clinic at Walgreens, which will expand access to high-quality, affordable health care options for patients in convenient neighborhood locations. Advocate will operate health care clinics at 56 Walgreens stores across Chicagoland, in Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will counties.

Physicals, vaccinations, travel immunizations, as well as treatment for a range of common illnesses and injuries, will be offered. No appointments are necessary. The clinic will be staffed by board-certified nurse practitioners and medical assistants who are employed, trained and supervised by Advocate Medical Group. Individuals do not need to be a current Advocate patient to receive care at Advocate Clinic at Walgreens.
