June 13: CLC Foundation Golf outing to provide student scholarships
The College of Lake County Foundation invites all golfers to its 2016 Golf Classic on Monday, June 13 at the Ivanhoe Golf Club, 28846 Thorngate Drive, Mundelein.
Ivanhoe is one of the most esteemed clubs in Greater Chicago and will host the 2016 Web.com Tour Rust-oleum Championship. Each year 50 players from the Web.com Tour earn their PGA Tour cards and the opportunity to play on golf's biggest stage.
At the Golf Classic, golfers can participate in contests and win prizes at four hole-in-one contests. Prizes include an Indian Chief Vintage motorcycle, a luxury pontoon boat, a 2016 sports car and $10,000 cash.
The event begins with a full breakfast and registration at 8 a.m., cart call at 9:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Golfers can play Ivanhoe's three diverse courses: Prairie, Marsh, and Forest, which offer tee placements for all skill levels.
After the 18 hole "scramble" tournament, continue the fun with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and raffles, followed by an awards dinner. A new feature this year is a Cuban cigar bar with genuine Cohibas.
Event tickets are $450 per person, $1,700 per foursome or $65 for the reception and dinner only. RSVP by May 27, 2016.

The event benefits the College of Lake County Foundation scholarships and grants fund. In academic year 2014-15, the CLC Foundation connected 509 students to more promising futures with awards totaling $909,223.
