Waubonsie Valley 5, Naperville North 2:

Complete-game winning pitcher Alex Schram struck out five and walked none as the Warriors (20-8, 14-6) stayed in a first-place tie with Naperville Central atop the DuPage Valley Conference standings. Trailing 2-0, Waubonsie Valley took the lead with a 3-run bottom of the third. Nick Santoro went 3-for-4 while Quinton Zielke drove in 2 runs. Colin Rivard and Christian Barczi had 2 hits for Naperville North (12-13, 10-10).

Westmont 10, Aurora Central 2:

Joe Donovan went 3-for-3 with a double, triple, home run, 4 runs scored and 4 RBI for the Sentinels (19-13) in nonconference play. Matt Alisauskis also drove in 4 runs in support of winning pitcher Matt Niemeyer.

Wheaton Academy 6, Walther Christian 3:

Christian Ebeling went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI and Drake Hubbard drove in 2 runs for the Warriors (14-11, 10-5 Metro Suburban). Ryan Anderson, David McDonell and Jake Koslosky, who got the save, combined on the mound.

Hinsdale Central 18, Addison Trail 0:

The Red Devils (17-10) exploded for 10 third-inning runs in their West Suburban crossover win. Alex Herbst went 2-for-2 with 5 RBI while Peter Pigatti drove in 3 runs.

Downers North 5, Leyden 3:

David Guliano went 3-for-3 and scored twice for the Trojans (13-14) in the West Suburban crossover. Brendan Vrtis was the winning pitcher in relief.
