Crawfish boil returns to Depot Market May 22

Stop by the Sunday Farmers Markets held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Depot on River Street in East Dundee. The popular "Crawfish Boil" returns May 22.

The annual "Crawfish Boil" is prepared by Ruthella's New Orleans Cuisine. Zydeco Voodoo Band will entertain while visitors feast on the shellfish delicacies they've purchased.

The Sunday Farmers Market continues through Sept. 25. It features some fresh produce, flowers, organic coffees, fresh made bakery items, as well as natural soaps and skin care items and other horticultural products sold by local farmers, producers and businesses.

"We're all about supporting our local farmers and businesses here in East Dundee," said Village President Lael Miller. "The markets allow folks to come for a stroll, take in the various vendors and just relax for a few hours. Our focus for the farmers market is to support good, quality farmers and vendors that have an ability to offer a nice variety of locally-grown products and services that are food-related."

Free parking is available and markets are open rain or shine.
