College info for Latino families

Lake County social service agencies are joining with local colleges to provide guidance for Latino families that include high school students who could become the first in their family to attend college. "Familias En Educación" will be at the University Center of Lake County, 1200 University Center Drive in Grayslake, Saturday, May 21, 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The goal of the event is to provide students and parents who have not experienced the U.S. higher education system with information and tools to make the journey through high school to college and to career easier to navigate. Sessions will be presented in Spanish and space is limited, so registration is required. Visit www.ucenter.org to register or contact Myra Gaytán-Morales at mgaytan@ucenter.org or (847) 665-4108 for more information.
